Im just curios, what have you guys thought of to break out of that "use the build everyone uses" routine?

IŽll start with a warrior build off mine, which will probably only cause a good laugh for you, tho it worked surprisingly well ;)

I used an Arms/Fury Build:
Arms all down to MS, impale, tactical mastery of course, impr. charge...blah blah sword spec, no 2h spec.
Fury with cruelty, unbridled wrath, impr. battleshout and I would have skilled enrage, tho I was only 54 at that time.

Now it comes: I dual wielded with only ONE! weapon, to let my swings not suffer from the hitrate loss and get as much hits as possible. For my mainhand I used TrashBlade simply because I didn't had anything else. The proc is n1 and the dps decent, so i had no problems with that.

Supstain DPS were around 100...not bad, if you consider I was fight with a bare offhand.

Fight would go like this:
Charge in on enemy and switch to berserk stance instantly,
hit berserk rage to get more rage and spam MS + Whirlwind everytime coulddown was ready. Weird huh? took a lot more button pressing and stance twisting than standart MS build, but it was fun and looked cool.

Overall dps were around 150, burst dps above 200.
(Most fun moment was, when a shadow priest jumped me at half hp fighting another mob, i hit recklessness and critted him down before he could hit shield)

After playing around a day or two with this build I respeced to 2h axe MS build again...back to our all day routine...

So? Any more totaly wacked builds out there?

You can do that perfectly fine with a 2h-axe though. I switch stances like mad, that's what Anger Management is for, and with PvP situations changing so quickly I'm always changing stances to use a particular ability, or to deal more damage, or to take less damage.. etc.

Has somebody already try a full Survival talent spec melee Hunter ?

Going all subtlety as a rogue wouldn't prove to be the most useful, but you would make the most annoying class even more annoying. Just think of some of the possibilities:

Head up to a dock, wait for the boat to arrive, and sap someone til the boat starts to pull off then hop on and /wave.

Or let them get on the boat, wait til it gets farther out, blind them and /wave as they walk the plank.

Also nothin' like seeing someone hearthing, sneak up and kick them.

Obviously these things could be done without the subtlety tree, but that makes it all the easier. And I'm sure it would open up many other possibilities to be an utter nuisance.

Really good at ganking lowbies in Hillsbrad :D And stealthing up when their lvl 60s come to try to find you, then once they leave gank again.

I swear some druid was doing this to me must have had feral spec, he was doing some things i never seen a druid do before in cat form.

I still like the Melee Hunter idea.

I still like the Melee Hunter idea.

In my experience, 95% of all hunters are already pure melee :P

Or at least survival / Beast Mastery, because all the survival traps talents won't help you that much if you are playing melee...
