I've been lurking here for months, and I'd like to hear what the rest of you would change too. Basically my only problem is rage, so I wasted a few minutes of my life replying to a thread on the official forums.

At any rate, in the warrior forum someone asked:

"Creatively speaking, if you could redesign the Warrior class to be the way you wanted it, what changes would you make?"

what i would change:



I would replace Rage with Confidence - Confidence would be increased by succesful hits, dodges, blocks, parries, and deflects. each giving the warrior a certain amount of confidence, out of a total 100.

to deal with misses: if a warrior misses once, he gains no confidence. if a warrior misses twice, he begins a numbered queue (e.g. 1/3) which continues to increase up to 3/3 and it will stay at this maximum of 3 miss points until the warrior strikes succesfully. when the warrior ends his miss streak, he is rewarded with a 20/40/60%(depending on the number of consecutive misses) increase in confidence from his next confidence rewarding ability.

this allows for the use of warrior abilities as rage does, but through a positive system which rewards both damage AND defense. a modest recovery from a miss-streak is provided by the miss queue.

another alternative to the miss queue is to create a small number of "miss recovery" abilities which are active only when consecutive misses are accumulated in the miss queue. these abilities could be some of the NPC abilities we do not see, such as improved parrying or the npc version of improved shield blocking, or a powered up version of combat endurance.

confidence can be spent like rage, with the same values and costs and all of that - but in order to utilize the "meatshield" aspect and slow build of resources(i.e. rage/confidence), the warrior can choose to not spend his confidence on abilities and gain an increase in damage/defense based on tiers of, for example, 30/60/90 confidence.

if we're going to have low dps, and be meatshields, and be the last ones to die.. how about you give us a reason to stay alive that long?

I would make stances useful. And I would make it possible to become a "damage-dealing powerhouse".

actualy i would make no cooldown on any of our rage required skillz.....i think that would help alot for damage issues, because when i'm pvping by the time i ahve any rage to use any skillz it's when i'm almost dead and i can't get the damage out. how many times i wish i could hit that execute button 1 second earlier

Gosh, how about making it so that Retaliation/Shield Wall/Recklessness aren't all on the SAME 30 minute timer? That would be swell.

Being able to pop all 3 would be amazing to watch, I can just imagine "AE Taunt, Shield Wall Retal and Recklessness "

Oh man, that would make some badass videos. Cut the timer on those to 5 mins, make whirlwind useable in defensive stance and you wouldn't need a mage for pbae anymore.
