What do some of you more experienced rogues think is the better way to go... Agility gear or % chance to crit gear? Is the 8% better chance to crit or so, worth the damage that you will lose because of the loss of agility? Thanks in advance.

I'd say + % crit, simply because that's about the best thing you get from agility anyway, you just get less of it unless you have A LOT of agility.

You lose damage and dodge % I believe.

Correct. Agility as a Rogue affects Attack Power, Crit %, and Dodge %.
But the amount of agility it takes to raise those is a lot at higher levels.
Unless you're passing up like a bazillion agilit,y I would think the crit % is better.

IMO it depends on what build you are using. For a combat build, For example 30/21 build. You do not have talents that passively increase your skills with huge %'s to crit other than Malice, and Dagger spec if you choose it. Therefore the + % to crit items benefit you more. If you are using an Ambush/BS build, then you already have a huge % to crit off taletns alone. Your BS has 50%+, and Ambush 60% +. Those numbers are with having very low % to crit anyhow. Therefore the few extra% to crit you gain from the % gear does help, but is not as much of a factor. I prefer + stat gear for my 30/8/13 build. Most of the gear, with the exception to epic armor drops, that have % to crit, come along with very poor stats.
Some formula's you might want to know about...
Half your lvl in agility = 1% to crit.
(at lvl 60, 30 agility = 1% to crit)
1 agility = 1 attack power ( i think )
15 agility = 1 % to dodge ( pretty sure )
If anyone can come through and verify those numbers, i at least know they are close.
If you ever do anything in this game, just try stuff out. See how you like it. Take the information people offer, but watch out for bias opinions, and remember everything you read isnt always true, expecially in video game forums :P

Thanks for the input. Since I'm a combat rogue I decided to go with the crit gear.
