Fraps worth the money?

Looking to get FRAPS possibly, but was wondering how it might compare to other capturing software. Of course its probably worse than something like Premier or some other 600 dollar software. But for software thats around the same price (Snagit for example). How it is?

I'd check out Gamecam ( http://www.planetgamecam.com/ ) It runs great for me, and the videos are pretty decent quality. And it's free :P

i use a tv-card and record with that.... i get allmost no fps lag at all when i use it and the quality is quite good.

Well I wouldnt call that trying it out exactly, trial version only lets you record at half resolution while registered lets you record at full size. I got registered version and I say yes it is worth it. When I watch something I recorded in full screen it looks exactly like in game, no quality lost whatsoever.

I wouldnt pay for fraps. I got 30-60 dps depending on zone and number of players. With fraps its 8-11 dps. No matter what zone/race.

Unplayable. I cant PvP and make a video of it, the FPS is so terrible that I mess up every cast.

If you guys want an "illegal" way to get fraps, D/L the trial version than go to www.cracks.am and d/l a "crack" for the software. I'll let you figure out the rest, easy stuff :D
