Priest or Mage for BGs

Considering I"ll be running with a group a majority of the time, when it comes to killing efficiency and benefit to the group overall would you guys reccomend mage or priest?

Plus, think priests will be nerfed in the upcoming patch while mages will get a boost?

if you want to do damage go mage... if you want t heal, go priest. I don't think too many people would like a priest casting dots in BGs.

Just my opinion though.
