Quel'Thalas in for release??

I'm looking at the WoW manual that comes with the latest client and noticed that Quel'Thalas is on the Lordaeron map, complete with roads and locations.

Last I heard it wasn't going to make it for release. Has that changed?

It appears there is a road from the Western Plaguelands near Stratholme that leads to it.

Help me out with a link Real, cause all I am finding are lore pages about Quel'Thalas. I can't find anything that confirms or denies that Quel'Thalas will be in WoW.

Well I have been to all the area above the plaguelands, there is definitely room to add stuff but nothing was fleshed out. Just flat land or water strung out all over. Here's a screen of the map when I was up there. The flat unused land up there runs all across the whole top of the map. This was awhile back but I really doubt anything has been added up there.

There will probably be something up there, just like the Maelstrom will have content as well, but it might not come in till a later patch or possibly expansion.

Thanks Lich and Tivoli. I thought maybe there might have been some clues such as a Blizzard Guardian blocking the road up there that would suggest they would implement it in the near future. Guess not.

I can't imagine why they would include this area in the game manual without hoping they could have it in by release, but then again the manual also says Dwarves can be mages :roll: Maybe we'll get lucky next patch. If not, probably going to be an expansion.

I might be wrong but I do not think Silithus is in the game yet either. And I have heard nothing about content out there and my capped character has never been offered a quest out there either.

There is still tons of stuff from warcraft lore that has areas in the world but may not be implimented yet, room for expansions and the like ;).

Silithus was actually partially implemented with the last patch. You can get there through Ungoro crater and wander around the northern half. You can also lose durability fighting some monsters that aren't itemized.
