I plan on playing Shaman, and i got to thinking about 1v1 pvp against different classes. now i realize the basics. cast against warriors, pallys, and rogues. melee against priests, mages, and warlocks with some shocks thrown in for disrupt, and heal as needed. my question is this. what about hunters and druids? i was wondering if you coud explain how to fight them and why the strategy you provide is the correct one.
You choose a class that looks interesting to you, and learn to play it on your own and simply take hints from other players. If you want a definitive way of playing your class which you should be playing yourself, buy a strategy guide or something. How about testing the class and test everything vs everything and find out for yourself? Not trying to be rude or anything, but there's a lot of these stupid questions flooding boards, when people could ask themselves and answer them easily.

well, to start Ive already chosen i class, Shaman. As for taking hints and stuff.......that was kinda what i was trying to do. now dont get me wrong, i know the best way to master the class is too actually play it and once my fileplanet d/l stops being a pain i will. i was just figuring itd be nice to have at least a vague idea of how to fight druids and hunters, much like i have of other classes through pure common sense. after all, you wouldnt want to enter a fight with no strategy at all would you? even if it was your firdt time against the class. hunters for example are ranged, but also have decent melee from what i hear, so would it be best to close, or stay at range, or does it really depend on the situation you meet him in? im not asking for a play by play here. just an impression of simple basics.

A lot of the time verse casters you will be using earth shock to counter spells, purge to remove buffs and grounding totems to absorb spells and effects.
Verse melees you use your earthbind totem and you can kite melees around as you use your shocks against them, most rogues can kill themselves on your lightning shield anyway.
