Im sure this is a stupid question, cause you guys stuck with your server back when it was down for like a week right at the start... but if the time comes when you can change from a high pop to a low pop server... will you do it?? or will you be sticking with Archimonde?? =]
I was hoping to change to a server with you guys in it O_O the guilds on my server are lame :P V v V is annoying as hell hah

If I may speak for all here on Archimonde that feel as I do -
Most people on Archimonde did not come from a random choice, we are here because there is actually (thought little of it) PvP competition and alot of big name guilds are here. This server has been named THE PvP server by alot of people.

Be forewarned, Archimonde has a pretty high population and tends to have a queue with a longer wait as the evening progresses. It is also comprised of mostly tight knit private guilds who decided before beta's end to choose one central server and stick with it. A lot of other players have moved in also, but with the recent slowing of new players (no new accounts or copies being made for awhile) there isn't a lot of newbie population other than dedicated groups and alt twinks. I played an alt for a bit that found life at the bottom ranks to be pretty lonely.

Nope, no plans on moving, we would rather stay on the High pop server, more opponents and allies ^^.

Why would we want to move Away from the Competition?

Any competition on Archimonde?
This server is just total Carebear PVE.It was supposed to be war 24/7 and what do we have? Alliance holding Taren mill in the afternoon...that's all.
The only guild i've seen raiding was "Soldiers of Bria".
All we have is a futile competion inside the same kingdom to see who got the best gear.
Blizzard should give a FFA server to those who really love pressure and competition.

Are you kidding me?
The PvP on ANY SERVER is absoulutly Pointless right now. Until they put in PvP rewards or the battle grounds, just getting to 60 and farming items is the only thing worth Crap.
What's the point in running back and forth between TM and SS?
Get real, there's no real point to any PvP right now, till the rewards or someway to KEEP SCORE is implemented!
Right now, the only way to keep score is who's got the best Gear.

Right now the fight is PvE. Doesnt matter what server you're on.
You can either do instances, and stuff like Molten Core / Onyxia half assed, and PvP half assed, or you can really push PvE and get gear, and hope battlegrounds is good enough that you've already done your work and can actually focus on PvP for a change.
The challenge is to lead in whatever it is you're doing. Right now Archimonde is doing better than other servers for PvE encounter success (which for a PvP server is pretty good) and hopefully when battlegrounds comes out, will blow the rest away in PvP.
I have the feelings that battlegrounds will suck, but you can always hope.

What's the point of getting geared in a video game?
Let me give you the response: there...is...no...point.Not more than running between TM and SS.I think we have two totally differents vision on PVP: You PVP to achieve something, you need a reward, you need to keep score, in my opinion your vision on pvp is really close to pve.
I pvp because i love to fight against something else than a computer, i went on Archimonde because i thought that all the zone would be dangerous, i thought there would be some pressure wherever your are. Those things brings compromise, alliances , diplomacy...I really hope that battleground will bring something new but i fear that it's gonna be tasteless.

Because that's what the game is about. When was the last time you saw any one run around naked PvPing? Never because Gear helps with your stats. If you want everything to be exactly the same, go play Chess.
I think we have two totally differents vision on PVP: You PVP to achieve something, you need a reward, you need to keep score, in my opinion your vision on pvp is really close to pve.People PvP to prove they are better then another person, the only real way to do that is by keeping score in one shape or form. Why do you think just about everysingle competitive game there is a way to Keep Score? Why do they keep score, because it's a way to tally how good you are. It's a way to tell who is winning.

PvP doesn't really come intersting until your Lv 60. If your trying to find intersting PvP at lower levels what usually happens is you run into High Level Players that will just beat you into the ground with you haveing no chance to fight back. I'm not really intersted in PvP when I'm Lv 35 and a Lv 60 is chasing me down. Not much of a fight there. Sure when you find fights vs other people plus or minus 3-4 levels from you is intersting, but those are rare.

Actually, the point is to ensure your hitpoints, mana, resists, and DPS are at the maximum they can be to make sure that when you actually do PvP, PvE, or anything for that matter, you're at the maximum possible limit statistically.

You didn't understood what i said about getting geared: i said there's no more point of getting good armor/weapons than running between SS and TM.
Let me explain you that in a simple manner: what you do in a videogame is just an illusion, everybody tries to have fun and pleasure and that's it.
There's no more point to run between SS and TM for hour or raid instances for hours, it's not gonna change your real life in any ways.
You mix everything when you say "If you want everything to be exactly the same, go play Chess."
Is Archimonde a competitive server?
PvP wise no.90% of the time it's totally safe to level until your reach 60.Either for Alliance or Horde. There's no pressure on players, territory are nor contested at all.
PvE wise.I have no idea, i do'nt know what other people are doing on other servers and to tell you the truth i don't really care, i'm not here to show my skills in PvE but to have fun in PVP.
Don't get me wrong, i like to do instances and PVE raids but i never thought about it in a competitive term, i really don't care to be the first to do this or that in PVE.
Concerning PvP you said:
"People PvP to prove they are better then another person, the only real way to do that is by keeping score in one shape or form. One again i've to disagree with you, not everybody here wants to show that he's packed like you, i'm more concerned about playing on serveur that is hot, where i can risk my life at every minute than couting kills and claiming to be the number one.Competion is ok, but with style.

That's where we disagree. Running instances will get you Gear. Which will improve your surviablity in PvP or PvE situations. Running back and forth between TM and SS, gets you nothing. Yes you can say, "yea we beat them back to their town and it is fun from time to time, but then tomorrow rolls in and there is absoutly no record of it other then what you said or remeber. Running through Instances will net you Gear and the Gear will stay with you. It's a kind of record of what you have done. See this Armor Set, I got it in Strat. Running instances will improve your chracters because the items it drops improves your character.

That's because most of the people are concerned with getting to 60. From time to time there will be raids on towns like TM and SS, but most people are focused on getting to Lv60.
PvE wise.I have no idea, i do'nt know what other people are doing on other servers and to tell you the truth i don't really care, i'm not here to show my skills in PvE but to have fun in PVP.
You have to PvE in order to PvP, it's that plan and simple. =)
If you don't like to level that's fine, but most of the fun really is at Lv 60 PvP.
Don't get me wrong, i like to do instances and PVE raids but i never thought about it in a competitive term, i really don't care to be the first to do this or that in PVE.
PvE really isn't competitve. I don't care if we are the 1st to do something or if we're the last. I just want to get the gear so when Battle Grounds comes out or someway to Keep Score, I'll be better equiped to PvP. It is just a means to an end....Best gear for PvP

I like to have fun too, and WINNING is fun. =) But as I said before, Spending all day Killing people with out haveing score being kept gets old fast. That's why people STOP raiding TM and SS after a while, because there isn't a way to keep score. I am willing to bet once they input a system that keeps score in one shape or form people will PvP a hell of a lot more.

When I see people fighting mobs I dont dismount and kill them, chances are I either wait and fight, or more often leave them be.
If it was my call, I would say let everyone get thier gear, get the levels, get up to where they want to be, and then pvp on a fair level.
I dont think its fun to smash your opponent because you have the best gear and they dont, but I do believe in maximizing your own potential and getting to the point where you can adapt to different situations and have the ability to have longer fights with more variations than two naked people killing each other in 30 seconds.
Ganking to me isnt a sign of skill or competition, its a showing of who is the most bored in the game.

OMG pls tell me where you are leveling, because I continually get ganked. Even to the point wher I play an alt on a PvE server just so I can feel like I've accomplished something besides 'most trips to the spirit healer'.
Actually the only real question is, Are you Alliance or Horde?
