Merging Unit Frame layout w/HUD layout

So i downloaded a HUD and a unit frame layout. both contain layout.lua, so it won't work trying to load both. however, that's exactly what i want to do. any advice on a way to achieve this without pouring through hundreds of lines of code to manually merge both?

Import one delete file make new file import the other.

this did not work. i did the following:

1) load game, import HUD (this has been working for a while)
2) exit game, replace all HUD layout files with Unit Frame layout files
3) load game, try to import. import button is red and can't click it.

not correct? i'll have to revert back to just the hud for now.
