Is anyone else having this problem? I'm running a Mac, and all of the info is for PC on fileplanet. Almost to the point where I want to fucking strangle someone. First it took 12 hours to even verify my subscription, then another day to download it once, see that it was corrupt, download it a second time, and it's corrupt too.

What are you downloading with?

All I know is that I had these issues when I was using Firefox for my downloads on my Mac from fileplanet -- using Safari solved my problem.

Firefox apparently cuts off after 2 GB of data, which will give you a slightly small filesize. Check if you have the right filesize.

Good luck :)

Using Safari. Only thing I had on was pop-up blocker, and I refuse to believe without actual proof that it fucks with the download. The only oddity is that it says "-2.0 GB" in the downloads window. I dunno, that -MIGHT- indicate that it was cut off a lil bit, but right now BT is looking like a good alternative to screwing around with these files for the next week.

i think you have to use the windows xp extractor or you might get the corurpt download error. i have heard people who were using winzip and winrar having the same problem.

Yes, y'see the problem is that I'm using a mac. Nowhere did -anyone- say that I require a PC to download or extract it. Fuck it, bittorrent time for me.

im not entirely sure what your probelm is, however read what i have to say!

I finished download, and I tried to open it with WinRAR, but I couldn't extract the files. Because it said the file was CORRUPT OR INCOMPLETE.

I was pissed, almost deleeted the file. however...

I downloaded the latest test version of WinZIP, and I extracted it with it and it was perfect. Now im playing.

It must be your unzip program... you HAVE to have winzip in order to extract it. I used winrar at first and got the error of corrupted file.

seijin is correct. if you read the fileplanet FAQ as well it will say that you need winzip 8.0 or greater to properly unzip the file. why this is not in big red letters on the download page, i will never know.

which is really lame cuz WinRar > WinZip

Winrar can do more filetypes, but meh, they both don't do anything special, now if you were talking about something like graphics/video editing then programs start to really differ.

IMO winrar is far superior just cause it has more quick-select options. (Right click an archive and you can have 3-4 different ways of extracting it.) With Winzip you actually have to open it up in winzip and navigate menus to get it to do some of the stuff winrar does. But I'm also mad impatient lol.
