Gonna be rolling a Draenie shaman and I'm deciding what my profession should be. I don't really want to mess around with it much because I hate professions to begin with.

Basically I'm going to be very PvP oriented and probably won't be running the 25 man dungeons due to a small guild. I'm thinking Blacksmithing might be good (gonna be DW enhance) but going master hammersmith only seems to offer a great mainhand weapon that I won't necessarily be able to upgrade without doing 25 mans. Does blacksmithing have anything else worth having? I guess the anti fear charm is nice too for shaman. How do the arena weapons compare to the blacksmith ones?

Anyways what professions are you shaman taking?

Engineering for pvp, alchemy is pretty nice, take Potionmaster/Elixirmaster so you can proc 2x pots. I'm going with Axesmith to craft me two nice axes for my shaman.

I'm kind of sick of engineering because every character I've rolled has had it. Bombs now are more of a crutch in PvP than a neat trick that no one really knows about. I guess alchemy could be interesting. An enhance shammy with a FAP would be fucking deadly.

I'd go for Herbalism/Alchemist if you need some gold later, blacksmithing is kinda nice but arena weapon got nearly the same dps and are even better when you pvp cause of the stats. if you maybe start raiding later, the weapon spec craftables can be upgraded once more and become right uber :D

i currently don't know if there are some mail craftables for dragonscale leatherworkers but that could be also an alternative, dunno how it's on your server but i think we got just 2 leatherworkers out of 10000 players, so you may also make some money with it.

In a longtime view i think alchemist would be best, cause you can transmute Primal Might which is needed everywhere and if you go for potion spec you may get 2 pots out of the mats for 1 and the raiders will need much mana and health potions trust me :D
