No more faciton at 60?

Ever since I hit 60 I have stopped getting faction increases for killing mobs. Examples would be the UD in the Plaguelands, and the Pirates in STV/Tanaris.

Is it normal for me to get NO faction increase at all because I hit 60? In my combat log it shows no increase, and I am a sliver from Honored with BB, and after 2+ hours of grinding, I am still at a sliver from Honored...

Most factions have a limit of what you can earn from just killing mobs, once you reach that limit you have to complete quests to continue to earn faction.

what? i didn't know you gain fp by mobs... is it only some mobs or?

yes, only for certain mobs, like the undead in west/east plaguelands give faction for the argent dawn, but not the scarlet troops or the beasts

once you get halfway into friendly faction, normal mobs will stop giving you faction, once you get halfway into honored, elite mobs will stop giving you faction
