HUD layout questions

Ok, I swear I'm not usually this dense, but I'm not sure I understand what I'm to do to import the HUD layout file.

I've got images and a layout.lua file for a HUD (written before 2.0) I wish to use again.

I've imported a Unit Frames Layout and am using that currently, so the nurfed folder already has a layout.lua for those unit frames.

So I guess my questions are:

1) Does any work need to happen to bring the code in the HUD layout.lua current?

2) Can I just overwrite the layout.lua for my unit frames and import again? Or do I need to merge the two files somehow?

Edit: Also I no longer actually see an import option... what is the current method of doing this?

You'll need to make your layout 2.0 compatible and there is no need to merge the two files if the frames have different titles.

So far, I have been unable to find information on what exactly needs to be changed in HUDs to make them 2.0 compatible.

Would anyone care to post some info? A lot of people liked the DHUD clone, and if I could find this info I would gladly spend the time to update it and share it with everyone.

couple things:

Once you've imported your unitframes, you no longer need the layout.lua file in the nurfed folder (unless you're using a custom color scheme, in which case you will need to replace the unitframe layout.lua once you've imported the hud), so move that somewhere safe, and move your hud layout.lua file into the nurfed folder for importing.

The hud layout.lua needs to have the same adjustments made to it that the unitframe layouts were. I can't recall exactly what they are off the top of my head, but I think there was a sticky in the unitframe layout forum about what all needs to be added/changed.

I'm going to just touch up the archors a bit, and then release the updated DHUD to you all :)
