Mage 0-60

I am just wondering i have a level 55 Rogue and i'm looking at mage and i was kind of wondering on if i grinded flat out how quick i could get the mage to 60 as I know that i could get a rogue there quick if i was to do it again.

What sort of playtime do you think is reasonable for getting 0-60 with a mage so i have something to work off.

I am 36 and im starting to grind instances more and more. I seem to get way better XP/hr in instances, and the drops are nice as well.

Mages seem to take a lot of work to get leveled. Also, if you are on a PvP server, you definately want to watch where you are grinding. The Alliance don't take kindly to lvlers in contested zone :P

Hmmm I did 15 days played on my mage to 58, with a lot of AFKs and being my first char (so wasting a lot of time), I'd imagine if I went hardcore and leveled up again 8-10 days would be realistic, but not easy. I did have a steady group at 40+ so that definately helped. Grinding is not really the most effective way to level a mage, but it is doable I am sure. Being on Arch though will increase that time just because surviveability in contested zones. Very hard for a 60 to gank a fg of 45s, but single 45s drop like butter, so I'd highly recommend grouping (and you'll get tons of tells as a mage).

I did 0-60 in 11 days and 10-15h or so. I did a lot of grinding, 55-60 thanks corin's crossing ;)

I did 0-60 without grinding at all, 11d 23h, with 300 tailoring and 300 mining as well.
