how to raise weapon skill?

i just got a rockpounder but i have 1 from 225 skill points :/
is there any way to get fast or easy the points? i used to spam hamstring on lower lvl mobs or go with a friend and just hit and hit ...
but 225 points will take a lot of time so i asked myself, if there is any way to do it faster or while i'm afk =)

Party with a shaman and go on a few instace runs, elites take longer to take down. Bash away.

Buy a cheap low-level 2-handed mace and go to town on lower-level mobs. You should be able to skill up pretty far fast because you can get a lot more hits in before the kill.

What I found to be pretty useful is to spam rend on undead monsters, because they are immune to it and therefore won't take any damage from it. Works pretty decent as long as you have some rage :>

Dont gimp your group, hehe. Go find a group of softer hitting mobs maybe 4-5 levels below you and wail...loot their change and move on. Shouldnt take more than an hour to reach a respectable level. Max out later in a group somewhere.
