I'm pretty sure Nurfed doesn't have to ally with any other guilds when it comes to getting items for instances (if you guys even do them in raid parties like us other noobs :P jk), but for alot of guilds we have to.
I was wondering what everyone else does in order to ensure that the correct people are lotting on the correct items, and also to ensure that the same person isn't having a lucky day and getting every drop. I know, rolling seems fair, but it kind of sucks for a bunch of hunters, shamans, etc. when set pieces drop and it's always the same person getting it over and over.
I didn't really get into EQ too much, but I heard there was a point chart that alloted points for loot, drops, etc. Made it very fair and made it so everyone was satisfied.
Anyways, just a quick question :) Any help is appreciated guys.
Thanks

1 Blue or set per run.
Can't roll outside of class set unless the class has that item.
Crap items goto OL.
Rare+ items (blue and purple) Do get rolled for even if no one can use.
Quest items (Such as holy water in Strath) Get rolled for.
The blue scales in UBRS do not count as your one blue but get rolled for.
Rare whites such as librams and travelers backpacks get rolled for.
Those are the rules that are followed by most alliance on archimonde.

Just leaving for work but I'll give you guys a quick update as to what took place in UBRS last night. Blackhand Doomsaw dropped off of Rend, everyone passed to me. Didn't really look at what else dropped because I was so excited to get the polearm - but the other drop was Deathstriker.
We had 1 rogue out of the 12 people there, and imo it should have automatically gone to him. Then the shamans rolled, and beat the rogue out.
I know Shamans are dagger users but wouldn't the Deathstriker be something most people should pass to a rogue considering it is the best dagger in the game?
btw: The rogue was dagger spec'd, not mace.

In Small raids, we assinged the Loot by merit.
Loot was assigned, not rolled for.

if the shamans were going to use it i dont see why they cant roll.
however if they were just rolling because they can use it and werent actually going to use it ...well then ...

Q said it, we do merit loot, no rolling, just look at the item, the people that can use it and the person that it would be best for. FFA loot is always on ^^.

Some are and some are NOT. Like the General's Blood at the end of UBRS is one PER kill.

I guess my server has nice people.
I've been on a few raids of the high level instances, we just leave it on group loot, everyone roll on BOE items and if anyone needs it give it to them, if 2 need, they'll roll to determine, BOP items, only roll if you're going to use it, if no one is going to use it, roll to sell, and that was with just a group of people who aren't all like personal friends.
I've heard of problems like when people were running maraudon for gizlock shield for the shamans, a shaman on his first time through nabbed it while the 2 who had done like 6+ runs missed out, but that doesn't usually happen too much.

Masterlooter. Loot gets called in raid channel, those who want to roll for it /w the raid leader who makes sure they're allowed. Thos ewho want to and can roll then /random and the winner gets.
In smaller groups it's normaly common sense how it goes.

seems noone is mentioning uncommon items, is that caused by a large amount of those in the higher lvls or? (only lvl 30 so :P)
