I think Blizzard , has just took the best ideas of w3(tft) funmaps , and some posted idead + the ideas of blizzard personal to make this BG.

But we can´t compare wow with w3 , sure there are some "insiders"
but the BG´s in wow , will be a more powerfull high lv content , then onyxia.

i woudn´t go so far to call it aos
yes, its true some ideas of aos ar implemented
but not all , you can never win 100% in the BG
you can only hold the terrain
and this mining aspect and so much quests , there isn´t in any aos , but lets stop compare wine with beer

Yeah it's not an AoS, cause there's no AoS in which you start on maxed level and all the items you need. You will probably get items on bgs but that's not the same.
