Just wondering what you people think will be a good team setup in the arena's.
I think i'll go with something like 2* warrior / paladin / priest / shaman.
Then again i have 0 BC experience so i can't really tell how classes have evolved :)
what would you guys choose?

Warrior/Mage/Warlock or 2nd mage/Priest/Paladin
Everyone will prolly want an affliction warlock but then again they nerfed that unstable affliction by making a cast time to it, its still good tho imo. ^^

I'd go with warrior/shaman/paladin/mage/rogue

Warrior, Pal, Shaman sounds kinda nice I'd also go on with this "base"
and maybe add another warrior or mage/lock or 61 beastmaster ;>

whats the deal with druids and hunters, so weak pvp-talents?
Druids make sucky PvP healers.

i think hunters currently suck in pvp if it's not artillery valley where they can just snipe down everyone within 41yds :>
dunno about druids, may ask fistina

That's just how they've always been. The main classes generally seen as strong in 5v5 are warrior, paladin, shaman, priest, mage, and warlock. You'll rarely see a "dream team" of just pure classes have any of the other 3. Of course in the actual game it's different as you have to go with what you have available and what your best players/friends are playing, but in theorycraft that's how it generally goes.

I agree with this. However, in Uro's latest (I believe) roaming vid they run a warrior, priest, shaman, rogue, and hunter, and still do well. I think it depends on the player and their gear as well as who you're going up against as much as it does the class itself.
i played some 5vs5 turneys on our server, but this is some month ago. hunters were always very well in this situation, they are one of the "last" targets to assist, have good HP, armor and not so fast to kill for me. in that time they can deal very good ranged damage and mana-drain.
but that was some time ago.

No matter what other classes you need a warlock in the group.
Healthstone is just to good to be ignored.

rogues kick-ass
i would always pick a rogue to join my 5v5 team
maybe instead of the mage or instead of the paladin cause i am horde and
i still HATE paladins.
- Warrior just because MS is a must have
- Elemental Shaman because WF and bloodlust are the best buffs in the game + the current best pvp healer who can also assist on dps.
- Warlock because healthstone = the only useable pot + good cc and dps
- Shadow Priest because they got way too many important tools. Mana burn, dispels, hp buff, great heals, misery, dps
Those 4 are the best core imo. Then you could vary the 5th member with about any class in the game and you'd always have something that would fit in the group. Paladin, rogue, mage maybe another warrior or shaman.. It's hard to tell the exact 5man dream team right now since we still don't have enough info and there are too many stuff that isn't finalized. Druids do suck today yea, but they're getting the only undispellable CC in the game so maybe... Hunters are the ones who I pety the most really, LoS is gonna kill them and the viper nerf is huge IMO.
hmm if elemental shaman is that good, would anyone prefer a shaman over paladin? im tempted here cuz a friend will reroll ele shaman. :P

41/20 paladin, 15/0/46 shaman, ua or soul link warlock, ms warrior, pain suppression priest
give all the above the lvl 70 warlord pvp sets and it is an unbeatable team given they are somewhat skilled
also on the shaman, resto is so incredible for group support doign anything, mana tide is such a life saver i have found. every arena match ive been in everybody has ran out of mana and it comes down very close.
