I am starting a Warrior to play with my friends and we will be grouped all the time, what I would like to know is if there is a way to have good aggro without going on defensive? Everyone on these board seem to be talking about Fury or Arms specs but is there a way to have some sort of mix to have a little of defensive talents and still be able to be usefull in PvP?

as posted elsewhere, there is only one aggro talent in the protection tree, and to my experience, its not needed to hold aggro if you group has a clue.

regardless of your server choice, i would get mortal strike and then decide what to do with your other 20 points.

Holding aggro successfully in large scale pulls does not require any defensive talents.

Most of the warriors here have said that they hold aggro best by causing large amount of damage and using talent like sunder armor to draw aggression, from the main target and use abilities like cleave, demo shout, sweaping strike, whirlwind to keep all other targets still aggroed on you. Taunt is only used in situations where aggro is out of control, same with challenging shout.

People here have usually said that defensive stance does not give you the talents that the other 2 trees can offer and is actually inferior of the 2.

Holding aggro becomes a combination of switching stances and using all large scale abilities available to you so that the aggro never leaves you.

Thanks alot for the help, I was thinking about going all out defensive but I guess its not as good as I though. Where can I find a good Mortal Strike build?
