So people say shaman's effectiveness drops in later levels and I do see how/why. But the thing I'm most concerned is, are we geared towards more 1v1 pvp than grouping?

Honestly, I don't really care about 1v1 PvP. I want to focus on more group PvP which I will do most of the time with my guildies. Now it seems at lvl 60, it is better to respec towards elemental/restoration. With this build, do you do decent damage with crits with a bit of efficiency? (I know shamans are not mana efficient) Or even in elemental/restoration spec, do you run out of mana too quickly if you try to get your DPS up with shocks?

in my "experience"

in group pvp ele/restoration is where it is at mainly because of the abundance of snares and our inability to have melee DPS on call (we depend on that 20% chance to do real dmg)

1v1 its all about Enhance / Resto :D the only 2 classes you wont want to melee are rogues and warriors.. and you can frost kite them if you can get just out of their melee range.

pve and group pve i beleive in the enhance / restoration spec :D

I think I'm going to stick with an Enhance / restoration spec until i see how battle grounds turn out.

Also some other member with more experience with shamans in group pvp might want to chime in
