The 5v5's are on another level.... in fact I had a boner the whole time I was fighting, that subsided, but I had a mess to clean up....

That looks good.
Someone comment on how the 5v5s are please, is it more fun with no consumables and timered abilities? Short queues? Token system good?
Thanks.

The pvp overall in BC is amazing. Tons of rewards for outdoor pvp objectives and the arena.
They took the basics of the current world pvp stuff and expanded it. The first zone everyone will see is 'Hellfire Peninsula' which houses a 3 winged dungeon called 'Hellfire Citadel'. Right next to citadel is 3 towers very close to each other that can be controled similar to the current Epl towers. Controling them gives a 5% damage buff in peninsula and citadel. Whats different though is that anyone you kill near the 3 towers gives your group a "Mark of Thrallamar" which can be turned in for various blue quality trinkets/rings and potions that increase experience gained by 5% and faction by 25%.

The next zone after hellfire is Zangarmarsh. Here there is a graveyard in the center that is capture by controling two towers right next to the graveyard. Once the two towers are controlled by the same faction, that factions town issues flags. If a flag is carried from the town back to the graveyard it can be captured and allows players to spawn there and gives another 5% damage buff to the entire zone. Killing people here also gives marks of thrallamar. Coilfang resivoir is in zanagarmash, im not sure if the damage buff is granted inside the dungeon as well.

The next zone, Terokkar forest, I dont have much information on. There is a 40 HOUR timer that alows the capture of 5 towers around Achindoun once it reachs zero. Once all 5 towers are controlled by the same faction the event ends, the timer restarts and a buff is given that gives you 3 things. I know one is 'allows Acquisition of Spirit Shards' and I think another one is 5% damage bonus again. I think spirit shards are dropped by mobs inside Achindoun but I dont know where/what you spend them on

Last but definetly not least is Nagrand. Nagrand has a neutral town, Halaa, that is gained control the same way a tower is. If there is a greater number of one faction the progress bar will move towards that faction. Whats different is that once the town is captured, 15 guards spawn with 1 million hp and faction of the town cannot be changed until all 15 guards are dead. Outside of the town there are 4 wyvern roosts that the opposing faction can take control of and perform bombing runs over halaa. You are given 10 bombs that do % damage to targets and you make two passes over the town and then land back where you started. People can destroy the wyvern roosts by clicking on them once they are activated by opposing factions. Killing anyone near halla grants "Halaa Battle Token" which can be used along with "Halaa Research token" (aquired from PVEing in nagrand) for various rewards including 18slot bags and an Epic quality gem for socketing that gives resilience (the anti-crit/reduce crit dmg stat). The vendors are part of halaa so the town must be controled to spend the tokens. Overall it seems like more should/will be added to halaa because the rewards arent very good but the event is alot of fun.

Alot of these events will probably be very popular while leveling up but will lose thier appeal once people are 70 and doing arena/raiding. You can see the basics of the arena in this movies. The first arena is the Nagrand arena, a simple circle with 4 pillars near the sides and a tornado that randomly moves thru it causing ~1500 damage and throws people around. The second is the blades edge arena which has alot of terrain you can use for LOS, there isnt anything special that happens in this arena atm (like the tornado in nagrand). There is a 1 minute buff period at the begining of both arenas. During that 1 min, spells and abilities cost nothing. There are two types of arena, one is a skirmish where you can just que up with anyone or que up solo and it doesnt affect your arena team. Then there is the team games which was talked about a few months ago where you get a charter and sign up for the arena. We havent been able to do anything with this yet because the level cap is still 67 and we need 70 to do preformed teams. While inside the arena there is no score board until the match is over. You cant see who you are fighting until the match actualy begins. Once the match ends you get to see damage done, healing done and killing blows.
Ive been having alot of fun with all of the pvp stuff in BC so far. Arena has by far been the most fun and will be alot more interesting when there are 100 teams out instead of just us vs us

Should warriors on the forums really be crying bloody murder or are they still fucking idiots?

yep
The more things stay the same...
EDIT: Should be "The more things change..." but Vadren fails at cliches. And talks in the third person.

Looks like they stolen it from Guild Wars. Exactly like they did it with Battlegrounds :) Not a bad thing of course, but they were too late with making it cross-server (like it always was in Guild Wars).
