warlock's roll in high level instance?

I tried other characters of the horde and I find that warlocks seem to be very fun while I was grouped with them with my shaman and rogue. So I asked couple of lvl 60s in my server about their usefulness in high lvl instance groups and they all replied that warlocks are very needed in high lvl grups (ie: BRD/BRS) but they did not tell me the reason.

As far as I can see, warlocks can help with group wipe, fear crowdcontrol and DoT. But this doesnt seem like they are really "needed" because other characters can provide help with CC and party wipe as well.

Anyone?

I often roll in high level instances, but only on cloth and vendor trash.

I admittly have very little grouping time with warlocks but when I have grouped with them I find their AE spells to be the most useful thing.
