Question about Sweeping Strikes

Does Sweeping Strikes allow you to cast your spells on multiple enemies (i.e. Sweeping Strikes is active and you cast Slam. Does Slam hit two enemies or just one?)
If so, how does this affect Cleave?

Sweeping Strikes doesn't affect MS, so I assume it doesn't affect Slam.

There was a bug last patch with SS and cleave that would make it hit one mob 3x and the other mob 2x, on each successive Cleave. This was pleasant, but they seem to have fixed it, and completely or partially broken SS in the process.

So there's no point to casting any spells while Sweeping Strikes is active?

Umm, sweeping strikes most definitely will work with your abilities... Slam, MS, etc. Also, the sweeping strikes + cleave combo still works. There seems to be some confusion because after the last patch the numbers no longer display over the head of the second enemy that's being hit. However, you can still see the red circle animation. And you can still notice the extra damage =).
