I'm experimenting with this build at the moment, just toying with the idea of being able to dish out elemental and melee damage and leave the healing for the priest. Using a stm/int build I haven't had a lack of mana even with no totemic focus. Mobs often die reasonably quickly, I can usually take 2 or 3 groups before I have to rest. PVP wise theres nothing that makes you feel better then throwing down a big shock crit on a poor little gnome and then unleashing a WF combo backed up by flurry :D.

Flurry
Rank: 5/5
Increases your defence skill by 10

ImprovedWindfuryWeapon
Rank: 2/2

What do you guys think? At the moment I'm quite enjoying this build, however I have no CB/OB experience (being a retail first-timer) and I'm not sure if this will effect my end game dramatically.

Cheers...this is my first post here but I've lurked for quite awhile, learn't a lot ;).

I used to be all elemental / enhance. But after trying out the restoration build up to the 75% heal through damage.. I'm hooked on at least that.

I will prob end up with 30 elemental, 21 restoration once i am 60. I tried doing a 21 restoration 30 enhance but i cant live without my 5 sec shocks. That 1 second really seems to make a huge difference to me.

However i just played with the calculator and this build is tempting.

Flurry or NS....I choose insta heal. I also choose S/S over 2hder, its really not that needed. With Ironfoe + Windfury, you already chew through casters like dogmeat. NS for those godamn paladins.

yeah I've gone S/S because i dont want to sacrifice any more defence then i have to, i have just over 3k atm.

why wouldn't you use a 2hander on a caster? You don't need defense vs. them. There's no way to argue that using a 2hander against a caster is way better than using a 1hander =P.

Of course if you feel you need AC you can swap to a 1h / shield (which I alway scarry with me). I've found that the best def vs paladins though is Purge =). A 1h definitely helps vs rogues though.

that means putting a talent point into something that i'd hardly ever use though...besides shields can have resistances ;)

Indeed...I keep one on me at all times, though Im primarily Axe/Dagger and Shield. I refuse to waste a talent point when I can get a comparitive Staff if I want one for no points, what so ever.
