Scarlet Monestary - Help Wanted: Apply Within!

Greetings.

Level 35 extremely bitchy and picky priestess seeks hardworking warrior of appropriate level willing to go under the whips and chains routine repeatedly, at her leisure, for a serious XP grinding team through SM, over and over. "S & M" will take on a whole new meaning forever after!

Must be quick to learn, able to pull with precision, and very fast.

There are also 2 other auxilliary positions available in this fun scene:

1. Backup Healer - I will accept a GREAT Druid, or a Shaman, but shaman will likely get preference over Druid unless the druid can outperform the shaman in every test I put your little self through. Backup Priests are also acceptable, though I prefer the variety the shaman/druid bring to the grinding team.

2. Caster/DPS - slot 5 - The fifth slot is open to a well oiled caster of my choosing. If you're a Warlock, you better be able to dish out serious whoopass on a consistent and sustained level. If you're a mage, you had better be wheeling your little drink-cart by my seat every 5 minutes and offering backrubs and pedicures to boot! :wink:

Just kidding, but seriously -- looking for 3 serious players in the 35-40 range willing to do SM as a rinse/repeat grinding tool. Myself and my adorable little stabby-pet meat grinder (Nox) are gearing up to put in some serious xp time to make up for lost time from release to holidays that prevented us (due to RL job issues) from keeping up with our Nurfed counterparts.

This is a great opportunity to get to know some of you, so if you'd like to apply for one of the above mentioned positions, reply here with your level and class info or PM me and I'll contact you ingame tonight. This group will continue on until we've outleveled SM and perhaps further depending on teamwork and play schedules. EDIT: This is not just for tonight, but for the next few days and into the weekend.

Here's the Group Team roster I'm looking for:

1. Warrior of above-mentioned tenacity and tolerance for my bitching.

2. Priest - myself ... Queen of the Realm.

3. Rogue - my personal stabby pet, Nox.

4. Backup Healer of hybrid type - dual versatility and dedication.

A couple of other small but important things.

Loot will be handled master loot, with loot assigned. We're fair but it's team-first. If this is your first run with us, you will usually get your item after regular group members what they need. Understanding this up front will save everyone a lot of confusion. The lootmaster whoever that is will be fair and impartial.

After the run is over, we roll on 'gravy loot'.

Several simple rules.

1) Don't be defensive when you screw up, just get better fast. We make mistakes, everyone makes mistakes. If we criticize someone, it's not because we think they are an idiot or are no good, it's because there's some behaviour they need to change to improve the situation. Focus on that. Conversely, we want to -hear- criticism too. Think the problem.

2) When there's combat, participate. Don't loot, open chests, etc. Pay attention, listen to direction. Obvious stuff, but it matters more when we're really pushing ourselves.

3) Stick with it. We learn from our mistakes. When/if we lose to an encounter we expect the team to be honest and intelligent about our mistakes and adapt quickly. Quitters won't keep up.

4) Have fun. Nuff said. We go fast and hard because we can, and because you never really know how far you can go until you've gone too far.

A requirement to have a shaman in any taem past 30....is wind totem. I was astounded when 1 shaman turned around in zul'farak, at 45 and said "Oh I don't have windfury totem...I haven't gotten around to getting it yet"... Needless to say we never teamed with him again.

Thanks Setzar and Repata, you guys did a great job for our first night of runs, and I think Setz got a couple nice items out of the deal and you both leveled to 41 too. If you're still up for it, we'll be hitting it hard again all weekend, and once I hit 38 and better healing spells, I can solo heal Cathedral, or we can do it now with good backup healing.

Kinda low, 32 shammie, but I'll be happy to respec to healer (1st respec ever!) and I should still be on par with Nox level-wise.

No one's asking for drastic respec if you have a talent build you prefer, but I do ask that shamans/druids play the part I need for SM, which is utility backup healer. We already have DPS and tanking under control, shamans who insist on doing this usually get frowny faces in my gradebook. :roll:

32 is ok for backup, 34 is better. Nox is 34 now, I'm 36, and pushing for 40+ over the weekend.

Nah, not -too- far ahead, and Nox really busted ass to catch up to me before I got back from my christmas trip, considering he re-rolled Nox as a Rogue and neither of us played for about 2-3 weeks. Now that he's caught up, and I'm able to play hard again, we're not stopping, so jump on the train with us or sit on the tracks and cry! :wink:
