Right now I'm a 38 UD Rogue. I've levelled my poison skill consistently so it's maxed, but I'm not sure what poisons I should actually be using. So many to choose from <3
Can anyone give me some advice/insight on the matter? Thanks :D

PVE - Instant/Instant
Group PVE - Instant/Instant or Cripp/Instant against runners
PVP - Cripp/Cripp
All the other poisons are worthless. Offhand rarely procs enough to make anything worthwhile on it, so don't expect Cripp/Mind on casters to work very well.

I wouldn't discount deadly poison, especially against hard targets such as paladins and warriors. Its proc rate is 30% and that generally allows me to land the maxed out 5x applied dot on them. What I like about Deadly in this regard is it keeps ticking down through a paladins invuln. I also often use it against other rogues to prevent vanish/escape or vanish/cheapshot moves. Though these moves are still possible, it requires more timing on their part.
I find my off hand poison procing crippling often, and rarely have a situation where it does proc in the first couple swings. I'd rather have the consistancy of damage proc main hand than just a little more control on my target. In pvp I often use instant/crip or deadly/crip and I carry around mind numbing if I'm going against casters who don't rely completely on instant spells. Ie. Mage, Warlock, Paladin in some cases.
The only poison I never use is Wound Poison. Of all our options thats the only one I consider compeltely worthless and without situation.

anything but instant poison vs a paladin is a waste, you forgeet i can instantly dispell it for no mana cost almost

In PvE I'm parsing out DOT poison as better than Instant Poison. If I use it on both weapons, it can float at around 10% of my total damage (usually 9-11% in an instance). I just got Instant V so I need to do some new parsing with it since it was a big jump. The disadvantage of DOT is it procs fast, and once you proc, that MOB can't be sheeped, gouged, or otherwise dazed.
Is that the reason you are saying instant poison Kintoun?

Thanks to everyone for the feedback so far, btw.

What I currently do is this.
PvP: Cripp/Cripp
PvE: Cripp/Instant (fleeing mobs)
Instant/Instant (all non-fleeing mobs
Instances: Crip/Instant
I realize that you can really add alot of extra damages though doing double instants solo, but I find that fleeing mobs can sometimes gimme trouble with adds, even when I am carefull. I also account part of that problem to the fact that I could handle my energy a little better, and save enough for a nice finishing blow, but I find I grind faster through better aggro control. In PvP you cannot beat double crippling, slowing your enemies is one of the best assests you have. Deadly poisens are a really situational type of thing, and in most cases it is easier to just keep double cripp on your weapons. Because you rarely are switching poisens mid-battle, it is best to use double cripp, because it is usefull in almost any situation.

Instant on 2nd hand is nice

I'd have to agree on Kintoun's choices, but I do sorta wanna try out wound poison--kind of like a mini-ms.
I drooled when I got my 30% movement crippling poison (rank 2), but the money it takes to make them is going to burn a wide, gaping hole through my pocket.

Kintoun, I should have had some numbers before I questioned your suggestion. The Instant Poison is about 50% more damage from poison that Deadly poison against the same MOBs while solo grinding. I'll do a quick check in an instance, but I don't expect the results to change drasticly.
Instant Poison > Deadly Poison.
To those that mentioned that Deadly Stacks up to 5 times, that is true, but instant poison stacks infinitely. Instant poison does about the same damage as Deadly does over time, and it more than makes up for the lower proc rate by doing all the damage up front and not having ticks wasted when the creature dies.

Exactly.
A rogue always wants the highest DPS fastest offhand he can aquire for more poison procs. Main hand is slow of course for top end dmg, but sinis always add to the procs. 30% is a lot, and I can often get more than 5 procs in 12s. Also instant is instant, not DoT. Add that shittons of classes can cure poison and I'm sold on instant.
Also half my builds use instant poison talent, since for the time being I think thats the best place to burn pts in the assassination tree for seal fate. I laugh at the deadly poison talent.... it stacks 5 times why increase the proc when it stacks 5 times?
