I think its good, but I dont know of other maybe much better items.
The issue is, does +7 in skill weight up 2 +20 in stat points and more defense.

not nearly as good as some other drops ! Like reviver claws

Depending on how the + skills weigh up for damage and crit ability it might be good for an orc shaman with 2h axe so you get a +12 to axe. but like other people say sacrificing 200 hitpoints or the bonus other stats prolly far outweighs that.

If you look at how much you miss etc when you haven't capped your skill, there seems to be a somewhat wide gap when I am training a weapon up like if I had switched. Given this observation I would say that every point in/over on a wep skill prolly helps a good bit. I miss like hell and do horrid damage even when I'm beginning to near the cap on a skill I'm raising from it being low. I was wondering this too when I saw those, if people noticed the same thing or not.

Reiver Claws are good. no doubt. I was looking forward to them. But +7 can be somewhat better if we whould know for sure how is it working. How weapon skill 312 is better than 305.

its almost +1 ½ lvl, that got to count for something

hmmm what does +7 to axe (for example) mean, i think of +dmg oder +crit% ...
i ask because im also curious about the +5 to axe from orc racial ..go troll or orc for warrior?

for pve it might be good, but for pvp it's more or less worthless

It adds to your hit chance and your crit chance for those weapons, on raids with the high end mobs the +skill will help warriors with rage generation and holding aggro.

Tivoli = answer god :wink:

IMO, I wouldnt wear them on my warrior, as I see it a warrior needs more HP then hit/crit chance. But then again maybe you want more rage? Hard question.

Very good for a sham, if I saw a warrior wearing these, i'd laugh.....hard.

Why are these even good for a sham? PvP it hardly matters. a level 50 can hit a level 56 pretty much no prob.

+7 skill is no different than +5 pve. I'm pretty sure all mobs have maxed defense for their level. I can see this helping a little bit but not much

You can't argue with +3.5~ crit chance.

+3.5? o_O
Got any proof?

+5 to axe/sword etc has been proven to be roughly 2~% chance to crit....extrapolating that to 7, you can see where I get my info. Ask sint about his orc warrior's crit rate.

Each skill point is 0.6% increased crit chance, so 5 skill points is 3% and 7 is 4.2%.

Just test it, pick some weapon skill you have that is low (like unarmed) and watch it go up as your skill increases.

You can also create a new char and test it, very fast.

Regarding the item, I personally find it useless for a warrior simple because it's mail, decent for a hunter that likes to melee, and same for a shaman (I could just say useless).

Even though at this level I had more mail pieces than plate with both my warrior and paladin, what I want to find is a plate, not a better mail with fancy color.
