A couple of game related questions

I'm wondering about a few things that I hope someone can answer ^^.

1. When a Priest casts Power Word: Shield on me, does the shield take full damage from the enemy or does the damage get reduced by my armor first?

2. What is the order in which DoT's per tick get triggered? For instance when I cast Renew on someone that has a Rend on him and he's about to die from the last damage, does my Renew save him from the Rend damage (assuming Renews healing is stronger than the Rend damage). Or does it go by a first on first off prinicple?

3. Has anyone ever figured out exactly how a spell gets chance on critical hit? Is the intelligence needed relative to your level or is it an absolute number?

1) Reduced by armor
2) I don't really know, but try to check Combat Log (chat).

1. I believe it's reduced by armor.
2. As far as I know, they go off at the same time, therefore the renew would negate the rend and the person wouldn't die.
3. I believe it would be the same as it is with agility, an absolute number & nothing to do with level.
