Item crit bonus question

Does this affect only melee or both melee and ranged critical strike % chances?


Equip: Improves your chance to get a critical strike by 1%.

I see it on a few items I'm thinking of aquiring, but if it's melee only then the priority is a fair bit lower then otherwise.

Affects ranged as well, from what I've been able to test.
