Well, hamstring does dmg and slows one single target. Piercing howl dazes all targets around the warrior. That makes Piercing howl more of a group control skill, rather than 1v1 skill.

10 seconds (hs) vs 6 seconds (ph); base 50% speed reduction on piercing howl, 60% on HS at 60 w/o talents.

I'm asking just because I lack Talant Points and thinking about cuting Imp.Charge and Imp.Hamstring.
- Hamstring DMG is pretty weak (1)
- 10 sec vs 6 sec is not very revalent, since you gonna kill/stun your target pretty fast.
- Hamstring can miss (well PH can be resisted too)
I'm thinking "why the hell"? I'll save those points for mastery or something.... or you have more arguments?

PH is Area effect.
you dont have to worry about which way you are facing or the miss rate.
do i think 10% more slow on improved hamstring is worth it? no, but then i dont play on a PVP server, where snaring your target is probably much more important.
i think your points are better spent in PH then in Hamstring. AE is nice, and good for crowd control, pve and pvp.

piercing howl — 50% speed reduction (1 tp spend)
hamstring — 40+10% (from 2 tp spend)

actually hamstring is base 60% at lvl 60. with 2 tp its 10% better.
and piercing howl requires 5 talents in demo shout improvement, so it really costs 6.

impr demo shout is worth the 5 points.

Well.. if you wanna go to some nice talants, you HAVE to put some points into the tree. and Demo shout is just the best choice that's it.
mano, yeah, I wrote it stupid way 60% - 10% whould be way better, but the result is still 50%
